Also included is information about our website and how you can expand your understanding of research.

 ACC RAC 2011

ACC Logo
This is the 12th year SOTO-USA has represented the SOT community at the ACC-RAC conferences, the most prestigious chiropractic annual research conference. Aside from what takes place in the class room much of the activity involves meeting one another to develop collaborative research projects and learning how to further chiropractic and health-care.

SOTO-USA has had a paper accepted for this conference every year since it began allowing submissions, which means we have a 10 year consecutive success rate.

Mitchell GA, Blum CL. Sacro Occipital Technique Treatment of Hiatal (Hiatus) Hernia Presentation: A Case Report. J Chiro Ed. Spr 2011;25(1):114.

Rosen MG, Blum CL. Chiropractic care of pediatric nonmusculoskeletal conditions: A case series. J Chiro Ed. Spr 2011;25(1):116.

Other related SOT submissions included:

Borilli F, Dal Bello F. Research on the effects of the chiropractic treatment on individuals with malocclusion as an aid to the orthodontic treatment. J Chiro Ed. Spr 2011;25(1):108.

Hochman J. Postmigraine chronic daily headache releived with coccygeal and sphenoidal manipulation: A case report. J Chiro Ed. Spr 2011;25(1):110.

Seekins S, Provencher S, Unger Jr JF. Temporal-occipital cranial strain: A case of pediatric stuttering. J Chiro Ed. Spr 2011;25(1):117.

Developing awareness of SOT, TMJ, and cranial care is a slow process in the research arena, but we are making a dent and beginning to get the importance of what doctors in clinical practice can share with the research community. It is also important for us doctors in clinical practice to become more aware of what is being requested of us by our research colleagues, click here.

Research Review Service

The Top 20 Papers We Didn't Review in 2010

Research Review Service Each year the Research Review Service (RRS) publishes ~70-80 reviews, summarizing and applying the results of research studies on a variety of manual-medicine topics published in top, peer-reviewed journals. RRS selects and reviews research that is high quality, pertinent, timely or newsworthy...research that can update the way we treat our patients...research we should all know about. From clinical trials that compare treatment options to review papers that update the state of our knowledge on certain clinical conditions - RRS makes research easy to understand and apply.

RRS subscribers have full access to new weekly content, as well as our database of existing reviews (~400 in early 2011). Our new reviews are now available as MP3 audio files so subscribers can get their research on the go!
