Greetings!

It's the middle of your busiest season.  Don't let things overwhelm you - take at least a little time each day to relax and avoid becoming overly stressed; overworking and making yourself sick will only make things harder.  In this issue, we're reviewing a few of our favorite tips from the past year in hopes of making your life easy.
All Around The World
Extreme POS, Praiz, or Musicware are now used in all 50 states, Canada, Honduras, the Bahamas, St. Martin, and Trinidad and Tobago.  We're proud to be part of the retail experience in such diverse regions, and look forward to expanding our coverage further.
Tips and Tricks... Are You Fully Taking Advantage?
1.  Are you doing purchase orders within the system?  You can use the system to make and recieve orders, automatically updating your costs (using average cost method) and quantities.  Click here for more details.

2.  Are you automatically printing labels on trade ins?  This option, found within the options under invoice settings, can save a great deal of time by printing the labels instantly as you recieve inventory from customers.

3.  What are you doing for credit card processing?  Consider using Mercury Payment, the integrated processor for Extreme POS products, to speed up sale time over the alternative of getting seperate terminals.

4.  Are you taking in preorders?  This can be a great way to guarentee your customers will come to you, rather than making an impulse buy at the Borders or Gamestop down the street.  For more information, click here.

5.  Gift cards can be a wonderful tool for attracting new customers from your current customers' friends and families, and Extreme POS products can make dealing with gift cards simple.  For full instructions on using them, click here.
Holiday Statistics
Everyone knows that this time of year is the busiest in retail, but just how busy is it?  Accourding to the National Retail Foundation, last year 19.1% of all retail sales were made during what they defined as the holiday season.  A total of 460.24 billion dollars in sales were made.  Gift cards represented 26.2 billion of this figure, with $40 being the average amount per card.  The full data from the NRF can be found at http://www.nrf.org/holidays
Return Policys
Customers use many factors in determining which stores they shop at.  It will come as no surprise that price and bargains were the #1 driver of sales, but those aren't the only factors - it's very important to many customers that the stores they purchase gifts at have a flexible return policy.

Consider loosening return policies around the holidays, to allow for the lag time between a gift being purchased, given, and returned.
For customers on an update plan, the most recent version of the software is 2.06.0018.
