Dear ,

Welcome to our bi-monthly newsletter covering topics in pressure and humidity measurements, including sensor signal conditioning.

This month we are sharing the following:
  • ME75X Series of ceramic pressure sensors from Metallux
  • MS5803 miniature altimeter from Intersema
  • LPS2 Series of microflow sensors from Microbridge
  • ZSC31014 & ZSC31015 sensor signal conditioning IC's from ZMD

We are also announcing a new application section on our web site highlighting the automotive industry.

If you are unsure of your needs or would like an immediate discussion about your application, the best use of your time is to either call us at 781-862-9572, email at info@servoflo.com, or use our contact us page.

With hundreds of pressure sensors to choose from, we would be happy to discuss your application at no obligation to you.
MS5803 High Resolution Altimeter

MS5803-01BA barometric pressure sensorThe MS5803-01BA from Measurement Specialties of Switzerland (formerly Intersema) is a high resolution altimeter with an SPI and I2C interface. With a pressure range from 10-1300 mbar, the MS5803-01BA has a high resolution of 10 cm and accepts a low supply voltage of 1.8 to 3.6 volts. An integrated temperature sensor is included. The sensor has gel protection and an antimagnetic stainless steel cap. Typical applications include mobile altimeter and barometers, bike computers, sports watches, variometers and data loggers. The price is under $16 in quantities of 1,000.

New ME75X Series Ceramic Pressure Sensor

ME75X Series of Ceramic Pressure SensorsThe ME75X ceramic pressure sensor series have a monolithic design with on-board pressure and temperature calibration. Three different signal output options are available: ratiometric 0.5 to 4.5 volts, non-ratiometric 0 to 10V, or 4 to 20 mA. The sensor is available in various gauge pressure ranges from 2 to 400 bar. Excellent chemical resistance and media compatibility are important features. In addition, a wide temperature-compensated operating range of -25C to 125C make the ME75S ideal for industrial automation, automotive, process control, and much more. Pricing for the ME75X is under $17 in quantities of 1,000.

LPS2 Series By Microbridge for 1-5" of H2O

Microbridge SensorsMicrobridge is announcing the LPS2 Series for measurement of 1" to 5" of H2O, a higher range than the LPS1 Series. This sensor has been configured to measure either uni-directional or bi-directional. The analog output has a dynamic range of greater than 10,000x with excellent resolution. Applications for the LPS2 include HVAC, medical CPAP airflow sensing, critical containment enclosures, leak detection and more.

ZSC31014 & ZSC31015 Sensor Signal Conditioning IC's

This month we are highlighting 2 sensor signal conditioning IC's from ZMD: ZSC31014 and ZSC31015.

The ZSC31014 (formerly called ZMD31014) and ZSC31015 (formerly called ZMD31015)  RBicLite™ are CMOS integrated circuits, for high accuracy amplification and analog-to-digital conversion of a differential input signal or bridge signals.  Perfect for low cost applications, both can perform offset, span, and 1st and 2nd order temperature compensation of the measured signal.  A corrected temperature output can be provided through an internal or external sensor measurement.

The ZSC31014 offers a digital interface via I2C or SPI while the ZSC31015 interfaces via a ratiometric voltage or ZACwire.

These sensors are ideal for those customers developing their own transducer.
