Dear ,

Welcome to our August newsletter.  We have some exciting new products to announce. First, we have a new Intersema part, MS5701 which is a low pressure sensor with a digital output. Next, we are announcing a new line of LED drivers offered by ZMD. We also offering a part by ZMD which is pin-to-pin compatible for TI and Maxim parts which are currently on backorder. Lastly, we have an announcement regarding Microbridge ultra low pressure sensors.

If you are unsure of your needs or would like an immediate discussion about your application, the best use of your time is to either call us at 781-862-9572, email at info@servoflo.com, or use our sensor selector tool.

With hundreds of pressure sensors to choose from, we would be happy to discuss your application at no obligation to you.
MS5701 Measures +/- 2.5" H2O With Digital Output

MS5701 Low Pressure Sensor With Digital OutputServoflo is pleased to announce the MS5701 low pressure sensor with an I2C or SPI digital interface. Available in either differential or gauge models, the MS5701 can measure as low as ±2.5" H2O up to ±10" H2O in a differential version. The gauge model comes in ranges from +2" H2O to +20" H2O.

Using the latest in MEMS technology, the MS5701 has a low supply voltage of 1.8 to 3.6V with a 1 mA power consumption.  Furthermore, the MS5701 pressure sensor has a high resolution of 0.0004" of water (0.001 mbar) and a fast conversion of 0.54 milliseconds. A 24-bit pressure and temperature output allows for integration to any microcontroller. The I2C or SPI interface communicates up to 20 MHz.

With an operating temperature range of -20°C to +85°C, the MS5701 offers excellent accuracies. For example, a model calibrated for 5" of water (differential) has an accuracy of ±0.04" at 25°C and ±0.1" over the entire operating temperature range. Low hysteresis and high stability of the pressure and temperature signal make the MS5701 reliable in demanding, high performing applications.
Typical uses for the MS5701 include HVAC, respirators, ventilators, CPAP & sleep apnea, leak detection, liquid level metering and more.

The MS5701 low pressure sensor is priced at $18 each in quantities of 1,000.

New LED Driver Line Offered By Servoflo

ZLED DriversServoflo is pleased to announce three new energy efficient LED driver ICs from ZMDI of Germany. The drivers achieve up to 95% efficiency and demonstrate a commitment to green technology.

ZMDI's LED driver portfolio is designed for all types of internal and external lighting applications. The ZLED7000 and ZLED7010 drive single or multiple LEDs from a supply voltage range of 6 to 40 volts, using continuous-mode inductive step-down converters. The ZLED7001 is a peak current mode control LED driver which operates within a wide input range from 8VDC to 450VDC or 110VAC / 220VAC, making it ideal for direct line-powered applications. All three devices have a very small footprint and are highly integrated thus enabling a very low bill of materials (BOM) cost.

For all three devices, full application kits including application notes and an evaluation board are available now. The ZLED7000 comes in a SOT89-5 package, making it ideal for space-constrained applications such as signage or specialty architectural lighting. The ZLED7001 and ZLED7010 are available in a SOP-8 package. All three devices are available in mass production now.

Pin-to-Pin Replacement for TI or Maxim

Test Kit for ZADCS146-147Are you looking for a pin-to-pin replacement for TI ADS7844 or Maxim MAX147?  The ZMD ZADC147IS20T is a pin-for-pin replacement for these parts!

The ZADCS146 and ZADCS147 are 12-bit analog-to-digital (A/D) converters with up to 20ksps conversion rate. The converter is based on successive-approximation-register architecture.

Both have an 8-channel input multiplexer and a high-bandwidth track/hold circuit. All analog inputs are software configurable as eight single-ended or four differential analog input channels are well as for unipolar or bipolar output coding.

The ZADCS146/ZADCS147 operate from a single +2.7V to +5.25V supply. Both models use either the external serial-interface clock or an internally generated clock to perform successive-approximation analog-to-digital conversions. The ZADCS146 is equipped with an accurate internal 2.5V reference with an additional external ±1.5% voltage adjustment range.

The device provides a hard-wired shut-down pin (nSHDN) and software-selectable power-down modes to automatically shut down the IC at the end of a conversion. Accessing the serial interface automatically powers up the ZADCS146/ZADCS147. A quick turn-on time allows the device to be shut down between measurements. Both version are available in standard 20 pin SSOP package for industrial temperature range of -25°C to +85°C.
