Your local zoning and planning officials are passing laws that can strip the wealth from your home.  These laws are part of a comprehensive Bay Area regional plan that affects all nine Bay Area Counties and overrides local city or county plans.  If you live in a suburban or rural area, this plan will raise the cost of operating, and limit use of your personal automobile; in favor of public transit.  New housing units will be forced into urban high density developments favoring low income housing; with your tax dollars paying for these changes.  These changes are being implemented through an unelected regional structure that will overide and obsolete your local city or county elected government. 

 

It is time these planning departments hear from property owning, tax paying citizens.  SFBay Citizens' Alliance for Property Rights (CAPR) was formed to give you a voice.  We are is a non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving private property rights.  As a property owner, you have a vested interest in protecting your private property as well as your fellow citizens'.  CAPR is uniting property owners around the Bay to provide a unified voice and a greater force to challenge governmental intrusions.  In addition to membership, CAPR has a legal defense fund and a PAC.  If it becomes necessary to take legal action or support candidates and/or legislation, we have a mechanism to raise funds.
