Petro-Canada and dexos1 - JobbersWorld Reports it as we Hear it
JobbersWorld received a official notification directly from a senior manager at Petro-Canada America Lubricants Inc. on September 10, 2010 regarding its position on dexos1. The official communications was short and to the point, we quote; "Petro-Canada Lubricants will be officially licensed dexos1."

After publishing that news, we heard from another senior manager at Petro-Canada Lubricants on September 17th. He stated,

"The September 14th issue of JobbersWorld (below) was recently brought to my attention, wherein you note:  "Petro-Canada advised JobbersWorld late last week that, "Petro-Canada Lubricants will be officially licensed dexos1(TM)."This information is not accurate.

Petro-Canada is still in the process of evaluating whether or not we will offer a dexos1™ licensed motor oil. We will be introducing a product which meets or exceeds the requirements of the dexos1 specification, but a decision on licensing is still pending."

JobbersWorld reports it as we hear it. In this case, we are hearing to two different stories from the same company.  Apparently either Petro-Canada changed it's mind, or someone didn't get the memo. We will keep you posted.
Whereas CITGO Told Marketers its in With Dexos1, now it's Out!
CITGO verbally advised its marketers (at its 100 year Anniversary Meeting in Orlando, FL) that they will have a licensed dexos1, as well as a non-licensed engine oil in the market. No further details were made available.

Now, however, they have made it official they will not  have a licensed dexos1.

The dexos1(TM) Tally - Nay or Yeah
The following is an updated summary of the companies that have reportedly said the will offer a dexos licensed engine oil and those that say they will not. If your company is not listed and has already made a decision regarding dexos, please let us know by contacting: jobbersworld
