Standing in Solidarity with our Jewish Friends
MAPS Library Update
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Whoever follows a path to seek knowledge, Allah will make the path toJannah (Paradise) easy for them." [Muslim]
In February 2016, we announced the opening of a library at MAPS. After one year of operation, by the grace of Allah s.w.t., we had 364 members, approximately 2,000 book transactions, and hundreds of patrons using the library as a place to read, study quietly, and access electronic and online resources.
In our first year of operation, we noticed that children and youth books were always in high demand. We are happy to announce that starting this Friday, March 24th, MAPS Library is teaming up with the Kids' Islamic Library to offer more children's books on Islam with educational materials and wonderful stories from the Quran, Seerah, Prophets, Sahaba, and other historical figures in Islamic history.
Our collection of close to 1,000 children's and youth books include fictional mystery/adventure books written by Muslim authors that incorporate Islamic values and traditions, as well as books for teenagers that deal with modern issues our children face in the West. This collection will be available for check-out starting this Friday at MAPS library in shaa Allah.

We will have three youth-led committees this quarter:
- Public Relations (working with other groups, making group comfortable for existing and new members, etc), led by Aiya Siddig
- Event Planning (help organizing volunteering events, discussion topics, etc) led by Haykal Mubin
- Advertising (Utilizing social media, tabling and other methods to advertise for the youth group) led by Habiba Youssef
If you wish to join any group (limited to one per quarter), please message me. Future leaders will be chosen based on their work in previous quarters.
