Assalamu Alaykum / Peace be upon you,

Yesterday, MAPS held a day of reflection and discussions on the challenges we face as Muslims and as Americans in an environment where terrorism and Islamophobia are on the rise. Guest speaker Imam John Ederer, in his Khutbah (Friday sermon),  emphasized the importance of being hopeful and optimistic, and in his evening lecture he explained why senseless violence has no basis whatsoever in Islam.
