Dear Friends of BBLA,
With April Fools' Day safely behind us, our organization held its annual Beseda Ball introducing for the first time a theme for the evening. Queen Esther and her Trio as well as the authentic music of Michael Arenella & His Dreamland Orchestra took us back to the Roaring Twenties in Prague. Throughout the evening we enjoyed the charming and playful atmosphere of the 20's with dancers, a magician, and an inspirational one-line artist to mention just a few.
The attendance shattered records and judging by the overall response the event was definitely a huge success. Once again I would like to thank all of you who joined us in this wonderful celebration, and all of those whose dedicated work helped make it happen.
Furthermore we were particularly delighted to have the opportunity to cooperate with our new restaurant Bohemian Spirit introducing them to our community at the Ball. They opened their doors for the cocktail hour and catered the whole event so our guests were able to savor authentic Czech cuisine. Since their opening this past Sunday we can keep enjoying traditional Czech cuisine and - obviously - Czech beer at Bohemian Spirit on a daily basis. Our new team is headed by Mr Sobotka and Mr Stuchl who operate several restaurant establishments back in the Czech Republic.
Do visit soon to sample some of your favorite dishes!
Dobrou chut!
