Below is the e-Update for August 2014, a recap of all of the items you may have missed which are still relevant from the past month or so. We hope you'll take a few moments today or later this week to review them and use them as you see fit.

I would also ask that if you have not given to the Special Appeal we sent out over email last month that you please consider making a donation today through our secure website or by sending in a check. The summer time is a difficult time financially, and we could really use your help if you have the means to do so. You can click here to give securely through the website or you can send a check to Pax Christi USA at 415 Michigan Ave NE, Washington, DC 20017. Please give if you can.

This week and next also marks the anniversaries of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Many PCUSA groups attend, participate or host events to mark these anniversaries. Please post information about your events on the PCUSA Facebook page or share through Twitter or send my way to share. Many of you are familiar with Bud Ryan (Pax Christi USA member) and Stuart Overbey's excellent film The Forgotten Bomb, which discusses the bomb and the destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The film is available for purchase by clicking here. It is a must-have for your peace and justice collection and an incredible resource to share during these commemorations.
