            Greetings!

Welcome to the
Benedictine Cyber Toolbox!

Jane to be on Sabbatical

June 15 to October 1, 2013

Hello!  I hope all is well with you and that you have some fun and restful plans for summer travel and renewal.

I wanted to let you know that I will be on Sabbatical from June 15 to October 1 and must ask your understanding for the absence of a full issue of the Benedictine Cyber Toolbox.  Time disappeared as it so often does.

If you are a first-time reader I invite you to check out a back issue clicking on one or more of the following links.

During the Sabbatical my husband John and I will be taking a couple vacations, first in Maine and then in Minnesota, where I will also be doing a retreat at St. Benedict's Monastery in St. Joseph.  I have intentionally not made other plans, wanting to keep some open space in my normally crowded life to have time to practice piano and organ, to work in my garden and to be open to the unexpected.  There will also be museum jaunts to New York and other nearby places.  And, of course, to have time for reading will be wonderful.

While on Sabbatical I will not be available via email - a break is needed for me to do the work of the Sabbatical, to refresh and renew.  My next newsletter, the September-October 2013 issue, will arrive in your Inbox in October.

My Benedictine feline friend Randy sends his warmest greetings to you and asks you to have a wonderful summer.  Randy is not doing well (he has cancer) and was not up to contributing to this newsletter.  This is a very sad time for the feline cloister.

And so, I send prayers for health and blessings for you, your family and your friends.  Have a great summer and take some time just to "hang out" and do nothing, as radical as that seems!
