CONNECTING TO CULTURE
The location is 215 West 125th Street - an office building in our district. 
The artist, TAFA is an award-winning artist whose paintings have been exhibited and collected in Europe, Japan, Canada, South America, Africa and the US. His works are in many permanent public and private collections including the Superior Court, Washington, D.C., Barclays Bank, Sparrow Hospital, Michigan, Shell Co, Ghana's National Museum, Carver Federal Bank and former New York City Mayor, David N. Dinkins, Bryant Gumbel adn the late johnny Cochran. TAFA obtained a BFA degree from the College of Art, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. He lives in Harlem, NY.

Stanley Whitney Reclaims His History
Stanley Whitney: Dance the Orange at the Studio Museum in Harlem (July 16-October 25, 2015), contains a selection of twenty-nine paintings and works on paper the artist made between 2008 and 2015. The exhibition at the Studio Museum includes paintings done in the seven different sizes of squares that Whitney currently works on.
