The Chapel of the Madeleine is the spiritual cradle of the Marianist Family and served as the gathering place for the first lay Sodality in Bordeaux. In this spirit, La Madeleine continues to serve as a place for the international MLCs to share the news and events of their region.

World Day of Prayer
for Marianist Vocations
The World Day of Prayer for Marianist Vocations, on the Feast of the Annunciation, invites us to celebrate Mary's "Yes" to God's plan of Salvation. It is also a time to ponder in gratitude for the gift of our own Marianist vocation. The World Council will continue to provide materials each year for reflection, inspiration and prayer. In 2013, the World Day of Marianist Vocations was on April 8.
La Journ�e Mondiale de la Vocation Marianiste - le jour de la f�te de l'Annonciation - nous invite � c�l�brer le � oui � de Marie au projet salvifique de Dieu. C'est aussi l'occasion de
penser, dans l'action de gr�ce, au don de notre propre vocation Marianiste. Le Conseil Mondial continuera � fournir du mat�riel chaque ann�e pour la r�flexion, l'inspiration
et la pri�re. En 2013, la Journ�e Mondiale de la Vocation Marianiste a eu lieu le 8 avril.

Argintinian Family Council
Writes to Pope Francis
The Marianist Family Council of Argentina has written a letter greeting the newly elected Pope Francis. Luisa y M� Silvia, a delegate of the national lay Marianist team, comments on the new pope: "Nos sumamos a la alegr�a y la esperanza de nuestra querida Iglesia, confiando en este Papa que ya en estos primeros d�as desde su elecci�n, nos ha sorprendido con su presencia cercana, con su fe fuerte y centrada en Jes�s, con su sonrisa sincera y su palabra sencilla y comprensible por todos" (We share the joy and hope of our beloved Church, relying on this pope already in these early days since his election, has surprised us with his presence nearby, with his strong faith centered on Jesus, with his sincere smile and word simple and understandable by all.)
