The Promoter / Talent Buyer takes a lot of risk when booking club and concert events, especially Freestyle. Many of the so-called Booking Agents know by experience that the chances of a Promoter staying in business very long is slim to none. There are only a handful of promoters today that I have been dealing with for any considerable amount of time. It's no wonder that many of these so-called agents are all about, "Get what you can now, and run!" and though it may be a smart business tactic for their immediate bottom-line, it's detrimental to the genre.

I can not stress this enough. Please for the sake of The Freestyle community.. STOP PROMOTING, SUPPORTING,
SOLICITING, AND TURNING A BLIND EYE TO IMPOSTER ACTS... It's going to destroy what little we have left. Websites, Radio Stations, Message Boards, Facebook Groups and anyone who claims to support Freestyle, yet support "Dummies" in any shape or form, are no better than the "Dummies" themselves, and will get no respect from me, as they should get no respect from others who are trying to make an honest living within the Freestyle genre.

Lil' Suzy
 Always in high demand, Lil' Suzy is still considered the youngest Freestyle artist to have classic songs. When much of the East Coast gave up on Freestyle. the Lil' Suzy camp took her to the other side of the country and promoted her as a new artist. It worked, and she worked constantly. La' Entertainment has been a part of that movement since the beginning, and we must say, that Lil' Suzy opened up a lot of doors for many of the artist now frequenting the West Coast... Thanks Suzy!
More than five albums worth of great Freestyle music, Suzy has proven her dedication and consistency throughout the years. Her performances are energizing and her memorable songs keep you singing along to every word. her repeat rate is probably The highest of any of the acts on my roster. Amazing performer, phenomenal vocalist, and the most beautiful woman on the face of the earth... and I'm not saying that because she's my wife and reading over my shoulder as I write!
One thing that stood out to me about Angel when I first started working with her was, whether she had 5 people or 5,000 people in the audience, she always gave her all, and enjoyed every bit of it. Her magnetic personality is extremely vibrant and if I don't take her by the hand and say, "We gotta go" she'll hang out and talk with every single fan in your audience. promoters love her and she too has an amazing repeat rate. Suzy Angel Lisette
What the hell was Latif thinking when he put together the ultimate Freestyle package and named it after his long time nemesis?
"The S.A.L. Concept, established in 2004, stemmed from a personal problem of my own. While on the road with Lil' Suzy for over 20 years, things got really stressful when I got involved with Angel and began rebuilding her performance career. Between these two ladies, I was accumilating crazy flyer miles and a bad back from flying so much. I had Suzy working in markets such as San Jose, Dallas and Chicago. Angel in Los Angeles, Detroit and New York. The only options I had were either getting another Road Manager or booking their shows together, the girls crushed the first option. But now the challenge was, how was I going to cross-book them. I figured I needed a bridge, a third person to fill in the market gaps, opening for us the entire country. I booked Lisette Melendez along with Angel at a club in Rode Island one night and we shared a limo. It gave me about four hours each way to get to know Lisette. That night I told Angel, "I think I found the bridge" The next morning I was on the phone with Lisette. she was cool with the idea, but I could hear a little hesitation in her voice, well of course, she didn't really know me or what I could possibly do. Two weeks later, I booked the girls to do a car show for Low Rider Magazine in Indiana. I had 4 show tapes that I produced and burned to CD and brought 3 CD walkmans with me. The girls hooked up for the firt time at Newark Airport. I had made sure that I had them seated together. Once they entered the plane and were seated, I handed them the walkmans and show tapes and told them to put something together. This task would tell me alot, and pretty much predict how doable this project might actually be. We landed in Indiana, the limo picked us up and rushed us directly to the venue. The girls ran into the dressing room to freshen up and change, and from there right on to the stage in front of over 8,000 people. I was a nervous wreck, had no idea what to expect. But as I watched, a magical thing happened as each girl brought what they were each famous for to the table. The crowd wouldn't stop cheering. They did it, and I was exhausted! I use to run into them on the road all the time and my boy LB would yell out to me, "Yo La' what's up with the shows?" Then I did it, and got him on one of the biggest Freestyle Tours that was happening at the time, everyone loved their show, and so will you. Trinere was introduced to me by LB from the group Freestyle, and we've maintained a heathy working relationship ever since. Trinere was one of the first successful Freestyle acts to come out of South Florida and though she's still exremely popular through out Florida, her name and music has transcend state lines.
