A Message from Latif
Unlike many of you, I myself have never had the privilege of watching a "Live" Cover Girl performance. Though I've been married to the lead singer for many years, it was a piece of Freestyle history I never thought I'd ever experience.
Though I've managed to maintain for Angel, a performing career that boast pretty lucrative as well as exciting, it just wasn't enough. She missed her group, her girls.
Like any "Real" artist, money was never the driving force behind Angel. She loved to perform, and she loved her fans even more.
As a solo artists, Angel always gave her all, always a spectacular performer, and the fans appreciated her. But still, she always felt as though somehow her fans were being cheated. Walking backstage stage, after a performance, she would express how she wished that she was in touch with Caroline, Margo and Sunshine. And though my business acumen suggested that this might not be such a good idea. I'd spent so much time and energy into reestablishing her as Angel OCG, that I felt a reunion might somehow cancel out all that work. But Angel insisted, and it came to a point, where I had to stop being manager, and be husband.
Thanks to the many Social sites as well as some great leads from friends and fans, we finally found them. And on May 19th 2012 during Long Beach Gay Pride... Angel, Carolin and Margo, reunited!

I was on the set of "Show Me" by 5:00 am, I didn't sleep all night. I was so excited, wow my first video! No one knew what to do with me, the clothes didn't fit, my hair was too short. They ended up pinning all my clothes till they fit and wrapping a fake ponytail around my hair and hoping for the best. The other girls were experienced models, how would I fit in? Once the cameras turned on, so did I, the whole experience got me hooked. The white dress I wore was a favorite of the producer on the video, he even tried to get it for the Promise Me video. He loved me in white and felt it brought out my eyes. This was the first time anyone ever told me I had great legs, I wore mini skirts all the time after that. The girls were a big help to me on the video, they were like big sisters.

| | BECAUSE OF YOU |  | |
I got to the "Because Of You" video set late. We were on a schedule so I didn't have time to use the makeup artist or the hairstylist on the set. This video was produced by Nickelodeon. It was filmed at the Paladium in N.Y.C. We wore my favorite Cover Girl costumes. The dress I had on broke on the set, so again they had to pin me up. My clothes were always either too big or broken, talk about wardrobe malfunctions? I think I flashed people in every state. I didn't wear the gloves like the girls, they felt I was so tiny they would overwhelm me. They kept the kiss I blew at the end of the video, they felt it showed how young I really was, even in a hot dress.

| | PROMISE ME |  |
The video shoot for "Promise Me" was awesome, the beautiful Viscaya Museum in Miami. This was the first time anyone told me I had a great walk. Once again they dressed me in white and made the video outdoors to work my eyes. They also put my hair up feeling at this point it was a trademark for me. I never said anything, but I was so self conscience about my ears. I felt they were huge and stuck out. They asked me to trust them so I did, and it worked out great. The scene where we're running, you'll notice I'm not wearing a hat, well, it was too big for my little head. They had to improvise and took my gloves off and and used them to tie up my hair, Bam! another fierce creation. Promise Me was when I became 21 it was a very memorable time for me.

| | ALL THAT GLITTERS ISN'T GOLD |  | By the time the "All That Glitters Isn't Gold" video was filmed I was a seasoned pro. They put a gold dress on me in this video because of the title of the song and the color of my eyes. I was the first person I knew to wear a bindi on my forehead in a video. I had on the tiniest bathing suit in the scene with the guys, as usual I'm cracking up and nervous. I just couldn't bring my sexy back. I think this was one of the videos that really showed not only my personality but Caroline and Margo's as well. The sitting on set and munching and chatting was something we did a lot, a whole lot! Inside Outside was the only single released without an actual video. The dresses we're wearing were used in our Sprite commercials, the response was so great that we decided to add them to our shows. I later found out that the response had to do with the fact that whenever I spun around, that particular dress was notorious for showing off my panties. I have a little trivia for all you die hard Cover Girl Fans.. Who can name the TV show where this performance took place? By the way, I'd like to give a big shout out and thank you to DDWinters for getting me this footage.

| | MY HEART SKIPS A BEAT |  | I was so excited about filming the "My Heart Skips A Beat" video, we shot it in L.A. on a studio set. I didn't drive the car in the beginning of the video because I didn't drive well at the time, instead we had our road manager at the time drive it. This was the first time I realized I had a butt, when I was posing on the chair it was all any one would focus on. At that time I practically lived in my jeans jacket, the one I wore with the black dress. I think I kept everything I wore in this video. My Heart Skips A Beat was always close to my heart. When I recorded it I remember praying one day to feel that way about someone, finally I do...I Love you Latif!

| | WE CAN'T GO WRONG |  | |
"The We Can't Go Wrong" video was so cool to do because I had my nephews in it, family is so important to me so it was awesome having them there. Everyone says I look just like my mom in this video. Until this day, this video makes me emotional. One little boy in the chorus had a crush on me, he sang every Cover Girl song to me, made me feel honored. As usual they made sure at one point to have the sun hit my eyes, it was a focal point for every producer and director I worked with. It was a two day shoot, I got into a terrible car accident the night of the first day of shooting, so they had to use the footage they had of me and make it work, I think they did a great job.

"Spring Love" was filmed in Coney Island N.Y, one of my favorite places. As usual I'm rocking the white outfit. Everyone thought I wore wigs in this video, but it was my hair. This was when my fetish with hoop earrings began. They never did a love scene with me in any videos because I would end up cracking up, it made me too nervous. The gold microphone I wore on the chain around my neck was a gift from my mom, it was like a good luck charm, I wore it for years. The dancers in this video were a bunch of kids we saw practicing on the boardwalk and decided to invite them to join us on the video, they were so excited, it was great we had a lot of fun.
