Changes to Nondiscrimination Requirements Take Effect Soon   
Amended criteria for wellness programs (offered in connection with group health plans) to comply with HIPAA will soon go into effect for plan years beginning on or after January 1, 2014. The new rules outline detailed guidelines, including information about increases in maximum permissible rewards and clarifications regarding program design to avoid discrimination.
