Fate brought me to Solstice Yoga Center's Teacher Training in Zipolite, with the wonderful teacher Brigitte Longueville.
At the training, through yoga and meditation I experienced an energetic transformation. Through daily asanas, meditations, and the study of anatomy, I got to know my classmates. There was a small group of seven girls with whom life experiences and empathy were leading to a super deep connection.
Amongst that intensity I was hypersensitive and very sleepy; I thought it was from the rigors of the yoga training but surprise! I discovered I was pregnant! The emotional revolution in me reached its climax, transforming my life and my worldview completely. I am extremely fortunate to have had Brigitte and my friends with me in this process, their unconditional support was for me a constant and comforting light that gave me confidence in the dark cocoon of my transformation. Eventually, I left the cocoon, I am now a yogini butterfly about to give birth to a beautiful baby ☺
The girls I befriended at my training, and Brigitte are now dear friends. I thank them deeply, I love them very much. They have become an essential part of my life. Knowing them, I got to know myself and every time I see them I learn a lot. We grow together...
Solstice's Yoga Restorative Yoga Teacher Training was one of the most amazing experiences I've had in life. Not just because of the incredible teachers involved, but also for the life lessons I learned while there, and for the deep connections I had with my classmates. Usually strong friendships are made in childhood --at least I thought so-- but I discovered that this isn't always true. My time in Zipolite offered proof that you really can find friends in these moments you give yourself. Here, I met wonderful women who gave a twist to my life for their dedication, and their honesty. Each of them showed me facets of the woman I had ceased to be. We grew together with confidence, camaraderie, teamwork, and solidarity. Even after we said goodbye to that great time we'd shared, we have seen one another again. We have achieved a space to talk, hug, and share bits of life. These fellow students have become my great teachers. Although we do not see each other very often, when we do, we are able to connect quickly on a deep, soul level. I think that although our personalities are very different, we are united by a sense of belonging, knowing that the universe put us in the same place to learn something from each one.
To be part of the Solstice Teacher training in Zipolite was really important to me. When I arrived, everything seemed to me magical, new... The first day, meeting all these women, hearing their stories and why they were in attendance, I felt like I was hearing my own story. It was not a long time before I felt very identified with some of these women; women who became, day after day, closer to me as my sisters, great and noble warrior women, partners in the way of that process that touched our souls... Women with whom I still walk today, sharing, growing and opening the heart... I am deeply grateful with the Universe for this wonderful experience that marked my life in an extraordinary way!
