Maryview Invests in Latest MRI Technology

Maryview Medical Center recently installed a 1.5 T GE Optima MR450w MRI unit, which offers several features that improve both the ability to capture better diagnostic information and improve patient comfort. The new unit offers a wide-bore, feet-first imaging for all exams and reduced scan times to assist patients with sensitivity to enclosed spaces. In addition, the new unit can accommodate individuals weighing up to 500 pounds.

Harbour View Construction Progresses
Bon Secours Harbour View Medical Plaza is on track for our opening in September. This new 58,000-square-foot, two-story building will include space for our comprehensive cancer center that includes radiation therapy, chemotherapy infusion center, and support services. The second floor will have space for physician practices to lease. The project represents a $20 million investment to enhance access to comprehensive cancer care and serve one of the most rapidly growing communities in Hampton Roads. |
Congratulations to Our Runners and Walkers
Thanks to everyone who participated in Memorial Regional Medical Center's Nursing 5k Challenge last weekend to support nursing excellence. May is National Physical Fitness and Sports month. The weather is beautiful, so why not get out and exercise outdoors? |
Access Important Employee Information With Two-Factor Authentication
Health care is facing an increase in security threats and hacking attempts. To help secure remote access to its information resources, Bon Secours has implemented two-factor authentication for those who wish to access employee information from home. Two-factor authentication requires not only a user name and password but also a dynamic (changing) six-digit code, which makes it harder for potential hackers to gain unauthorized access. Each time you access IS resources while on VPN or when you aren't on the Bon Secours network, you will need an additional six-digit code when you sign in. For details about self-enrollment click here and follow the steps. Questions? Click here or call the Help Desk staff at EISSC at 866-809-9259. |
