By letting it go it all gets done. The world is won by those who let it go. But when you try and try. The world is beyond the winning.

March of Dimes Montana Chapter Grant Program
2014 Montana Chapter Grant Program

The March of Dimes is a national voluntary health agency whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Founded in 1938, the March of Dimes funds programs of research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies.

Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death worldwide. Even babies born just a few weeks too soon can face serious health challenges and are at risk of lifelong disabilities.

The goal of the Chapter Grant Program is to identify and fund community-based projects addressing the health concerns of women and infants in Montana. As part of this effort, the Montana Chapter invites your organization to participate in our 2014 Chapter Grant Program.

Targeted Priorities can focus on, but are not limited to:

1. providing or enhancing interconception and/or preconception health education and/or services

2. Development of culturally-appropriate preconception and/or prenatal education curriculum.

3. Providing or enhancing premature birth risk reduction education and/or services.

New Site, New Look

The National Campaign is pleased to announce the launch of our new and improved website, www.TheNationalCampaign.org.  The site has a fresh look and user-friendly navigation, and we think it will better connect visitors with the data, information, and resources they are seeking. Some of the highlights and features of the new site include:

  • National and state data: Want the most up-to-date data from your state?  Want summary or detailed data? Want to get smart on national trends?  Want to print out your state data and take it with you?  It's all just a click away.
  • Featured topics:One click access to curated information and resources on topics such as parents, costs and consequences of teen pregnancy, public policy, and the media.
  • Super search:  Finding what you want is easier than ever.  Users can search by keywords, media type (in depth reports, videos, fact sheets, and the like), or by topic (for example, Latino community, child welfare, colleges, costs of teen pregnancy).
  • Public OpinionThe National Campaign has commissioned and released public opinion data since our inception in 1996 and it is among our most popular offerings.  The latest and greatest (and past survey findings as well) are now all collected in one place. Easy.
  • Images and infographics:  More pictures; fewer words.  Lots of data visualization, photos, and other images help users on their way.
  • Pregnant PauseOur stand alone blog has now been incorporated into www.TheNationalCampaign.org.  Our intemperate thoughts about sex, love, relationships, pregnancy, the media, public policy, and our dogs now have a new home.  Join the conversation.
  • On the go:  The site is designed to work perfectly on mobile phones, tablets, and other devices. So take TheNationalCampaign.org with you.
