What's New at Counterpoint

Greetings!

Spring is in the air! Flowers are blooming, birds are singing, and grills are heating up across the country. With this welcome change in the season come many new changes to Counterpoint which we hope will help your business bloom!

As we cultivate our garden beds, so too do we take this time to cultivate existing and new partnerships with third parties, potential customers, and most importantly you, our existing customers.

Through new interfaces and partnerships, we continue to strive to bring you a more automated, hands off Traffic System, delivering logs and audio to your affiliates, proof of performance affidavits to your clients, and ultimately more revenue to your books.

Wishing you all a Happy Spring!

Your friends,
Counterpoint Software
New Features

While we all take on the world everyday, sometimes we find that we cannot do it all alone, and other times, we maybe should not attempt to do it alone. It is at these moments that we need to look to others with the knowledge and expertise necessary to get the job done. Here at Counterpoint, it is no different. For over 20 years, we have been evolving to continue to meet the demands and expectations of our industry; part of that evolution has involved forming solid partnerships with other software companies to facilitate a complete one stop Traffic System for your Network and Affiliates.

Automation

With 23 automation interfaces, we can export your logs directly to your automation system, and (with some) import a reconciliation log, eliminating manual posting. If you'd like to learn more about our current automation interfaces and what can work for you, please email sales@counterpoint.net.

Audio Delivery

Sure you can sell split copy, regional copy, and compound split copy; the way the industry is going network radio is on its way to being sold like spot radio. But how can you guarantee that your affiliates are getting their unique audio? By teaming up with leading audio providers such as X-Digital and Wegener, we can now send copy insertion instructions directly to your audio provider ensuring the correct spot airs when and where it is supposed to. For more information, please email sales@counterpoint.net.

Network Connect
Counterpoint and Marketron worked together to develop Network Connect, which electronically exports each affiliate's network spots from Counterpoint to the station's Marketron system. After airing, the reconciled information is imported into Counterpoint for clearance and compliance reporting. Contact sales@counterpoint.net for more information about how Network Connect can help you and your affiliates.

Matrix CRM
Our partnerships with you, our clients, and other software companies, is a source of great pride for us, upon which we place the utmost value. We know that you too place an extremely high value on the partnerships you have cultivated with your clients, and on the time invested in those relationships. We are very happy to announce the interface between Counterpoint and Matrix, which will allow you to pacings and forecasts, highlight key accounts, track revenue by media types, and manage commissions, allowing you to focus your time on building those partnerships rather than analyzing them. Contact sales@counterpoint.net for more information.

Export Logs

After every export, successful or unsuccessful, a record of the export is recorded in the WEBEXPORTLOG.TXT file found in the Messages folder. Results from the most recent export will be at the bottom of the report.

From the Accessories Menu, you can select Messages, and review  the webexportlog.txt file, or email it directly to support@counterpoint.net, for help with troubleshooting; it's that easy!

ISCI Cross Reference

The Affiliate Cross Reference is used with the X-Digital system so engineering and continuity can use the same names when labeling commercials. The ISCI Cross Reference export provides a list of all the commercials, generic and regional, that are going to air that can be given to your engineering department. Copy must be assigned before running this report.

Keep Your Information Up to Date

If you subscribe to Act1 or BIA, remember to run those imports on a regular basis to ensure that all of your station information is current. If you have questions about running these imports, please email support@counterpoint.net.

Pervasive 11 Upgrade

If you have not done so already, it is time to upgrade to Pervasive version 11. Pervasive has stopped any development on version 10, and no longer supports any version prior. Pervasive version 11 is required to upgrade to Counterpoint version 6.0, which offers many new features, like the Proposal XML Export, the ability to control what is exported through new Affiliate Avail controls, and the Affiliate Management System, as well as enhancements in speed and performance, for all of your Traffic and Affiliate Departments. For information and quotes on upgrading your network to version 11, please email sales@counterpoint.net

Not on version 6.0?

Contact support@counterpoint.net about getting you upgraded today.
