You've got eMule!
Welcome back to The eMule! Since things have been quiet without the students over the holidays, we are releasing a series of outtake photos-an annual tradition of the district newsletter-to help start your new year on the right hoof. Please enjoy.
Student Outtakes

Sarah-Beth Taylor receives an autograph from musician Jesse Charles Hammock II during a visit last January to Chris East's fourth grade class, while Aiden Robertson executes a well-timed photobomb.

While proud family members gather to celebrate the kindergarten graduation in May, Abigail Corbett makes her grand entrance with a silly face.

Would you like some pizza with that cheese, Kaitlyn Pruett?

Although there is an Air Evac helicopter putting on a show for kindergartners during Transportation Day in October, Paris Davis seems more interested in the camera.

Kindergartners Dylan Hancock (left) and Isaic Torres (right) pose softly for a photo in a limo during Transportation Day, while Dominic Martinez (center) turns up (as the kids say).

First grader Xavier Conover loses a front tooth during Chartwells' Community Thanksgiving Dinner in November.

Third grader Dakota Hinkle comes to Eugene Field in the Christmas spirit the day before winter vacation begins.

Construction Outtakes

During a tour of C-Building at a pre-bid meeting in February, architect Ben Traxel trails off to examine a mock condemned notice on one of the science classrooms, perhaps scaring off potential contractors.

During the bid opening for the Middle School project in March, one of the contractors dons her lucky T-shirt.

Assistant Superintendent of Business Rod Priest receives a construction update from contractors in July at the Middle School, completely unaware of the office owl casting judgment over his shoulder.

During the annual back-to-school convocation in August, Superintendent Chris Hon declares this "the year of the orange traffic cone" with all the temporary inconveniences taking place across campus.

Technical Career Center instructors watch construction workers put final touches on the parking lot at the Middle School the day before the 2015/16 academic year begins. A UFO appears in the photo.

Faculty and staff at Junior High stand on the new walkway waving at their colleagues through the third story window, as they take their first tour of the FEMA building in November.

A rainbow shines over the high school in December, but it turns out there is not a pot of gold at the end but rather a golden tractor.

Central Office Outtakes

The Grinch (Network Manager Daniel Eubank) gets busted trying to steal Christmas in the Missouri Room.

This isn't what it looks like (a ritual). Administrative Assistant Barb Green, affectionately known as Granny Green, introduces Central Office staff to a game called sticks and spoons during the annual Christmas luncheon in the Administrative Building.

On behalf of Poplar Bluff R-I, we at Central Office would like to wish each and every one of our readers a prosperous 2016! THANK YOU sincerely for your continued interest in our school system.
