RIP Madame Esther Polk Noah. She was a cafeteria manager with the Iberia Parish school system and volunteered for years as a travel counselor at our welcome center. We extend our sympathies to her family and friends.

We will provide a FAM tour and lunch to two writers with Le Guide du Routard on March 20. They are touring our area to update Le Routard, which is the #1 travel guide in France (the French equivalent of Fodor's and Frommer's guides). 30,000 copies of the "Louisiana and Southern cities" guides are sold every year and many of our French visitors mention it. The guide is aimed at advertising to travelers on good places/hotels/activities, to ensure that their experience is optimal.

Hometown Productions will produce a 20 minute segment that will showcase New Iberia Main Street area tourism assets. The segment will air on the Louisiana Hometown Network, which reaches 99% of Louisiana's population through a weekly one hour television broadcast. Interviews covered the history, revitalization efforts and showcased the shops, restaurants, events and attractions connected to the Main Street area. We'll announce the spring air dates in an upcoming newsletter.
