Congratulations to the Hall of Fame Inductees
You're invited to celebrate the inaugural class of Chapel Hill-Carrboro Business Hall of Fame inductees at the Hall of Fame Gala and Induction Ceremony, 6:30-9:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13 at The Carolina Inn.
Tickets to the black tie gala are $200 for one or $300 for a pair and include a cocktail reception, live music, and a three-course meal. Register online.

Municipal Election Season is Here
Want to know where the candidates stand? The Chamber and the Orange/Chatham Sierra Club will host two joint candidate forums for Chapel Hill and Carrboro municipal candidates. The Carrboro forum is 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2 at the Carrboro Town Hall Boardroom, and the Chapel Hill forum is 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 3 at the Chapel Hill Public Library. Get Your Shred On!
The Chamber's Partnership for a Sustainable Community is teaming up with Orange County Solid Waste Management, University Mall, and the Chapel Hill Police Department to bring you a Shred-a-Thon, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 10 in University Mall's parking lot.
Please note that there is a limit of FIVE "banker box" size boxes or 10 large bags of paper per person, as well as a limit of one trip per person or business. Please plan to arrive early, as the Shred-a-Thon has a hard stop
at 2 p.m.
Prior to bringing loads to the Shred-a-thon please remove any non-paper materials, such as plastic bags, plastic binders, plastic folders, metal tabs, laminated paper, computer disks, or other electronic media. The shredded paper will be recycled.
