W+D is pleased to introduce our Technical Improvement Program, or TIP for short. What is a TIP? If you need to expand your production capabilities, update your existing W+D machine or simply add additional features, you will find these upgrades here. This program will encompass all of the proven W+D machine upgrades available for every machine type. All of the machine upgrades that W+D offers in our TIP program are available now in a CD format. This CD contains a full compilation of TIP sheets with features and specifications for W+D machine models 102, 527, 626, 202, 212/214, 190/191 and miscellaneous electronics in an easy to use auto loading CD format. W+D Machinery has developed several adjuster friendly modifications to simplify knife changes in the cutting tower of the 527 machine. Customers have reported that together, these changes reduce size change times by 25% or more in the cutting tower by ELIMINATING time consuming steps required to:

NewsLink #4 - W+D / Nordson envelope inspection system for 102's |
In a joint effort both in the US and Germany, W+D has partnered with Nordson to develop a state-of-the-art verification system called the IQS or Inspection Quality System that utilizes a modified Nordson LogiComm device. First shown at Drupa 2008, the system was initially designed for new 202RE and 627 machines. When a defect is realized, the system automatically ejects the envelope(s) from the product stream during machine operation by means of a cull gate on these machine types.
For existing 102 machines, W+D now offers an upgrade that includes the LogiComm verification system.
