The CSD Monthly

June 2008
El Dorado Hills
Dear El Dorado Hills Resident,

Welcome to the June issue of The CSD Monthly! This month focuses on healthy summer fun and includes great tips for staying safe outdoors, conserving water and lowering your energy bills.

Our free summer concerts are the perfect way to spend time with family and friends, enjoy a picnic, listen to great music and relax. The June 6th performance by Van Halen tribute band, Hot For Teacher was phenomenal and attracted well over 2,000 people. Check out our upcoming concerts, we hope to see you there!

Thanks for all of your great comments about the newsletter--keep them coming. From CSD Staff and all of us on the Board, stay safe and healthy this summer!

-- Bill Vandegrift, CSD Board President

Landscape Maintenance: Conserve Water & Keep Costs Down

During these hot summer months, you can keep your lawn green, your plants alive and cut your water usage significantly both inside and outside your home. It is less expensive in the long run to preserve your landscaping than to replace it later. Visit the Water Saver Website for cost savings ideas.

Play It Safe

EvolutionCSD staff takes precautionary measures to avoid overexposure to the sun and extreme heat, and passes along this reminder to residents to play safely while enjoying the parks during the sunny, hot months of summer.  As protection from the effects of the sun, the American Cancer Society recommends that we "slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen, slap on a hat, and wrap on sunglasses."  To protect health during hot weather, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reminds us to "keep cool and use common sense."

"The new logo design captures the spirit of our beautiful area and is current and fun. It speaks to the close connection we have to the environment in EDH, and a reminder for wellness through healthy living."
