The CSD Monthly

May 2008
El Dorado Hills
Dear El Dorado Hills Resident,

As your newest CSD board member, I'm excited to see this second edition of our e-newsletter. I believe increased communication will go a long way toward providing us all with even better parks, open space, recreation activities and other services.

As residents, we have the ability to pitch in to make our community even better, and I am a strong advocate of volunteer efforts. In this month's edition you will see solid examples of residents giving their time in order to make great things happen. Along that note, we would like to thank David Trapani for his years of service to the CSD and the El Dorado Hills Community.

We'd love to hear your feedback. Check out our website to register for our classes online, find answers to many questions, or send a message to us. I encourage you to contact the CSD with your ideas for volunteer projects or any other input you might have.

Volunteers Make a World of Difference!

WeisbergRecently the CSD hosted two volunteer events to help improve and beautify our local parks. On April 26, over 100 volunteers participated in the first-ever "Green" Party by helping to clean up the New York Creek trail, and on May 17 volunteers came out to Art Weisberg Park to install fencing and landscaping to showcase the new sidewalk. Read more

Streetscape Update

The El Dorado Hills CSD invites residents to participate in two upcoming workshops regarding streetscape and park improvements. The first will be held June 3 to discuss proposed streetscape designs for Riviera Circle, Canterbury Circle, and the medians between Green Valley Road and Francisco Drive. The second workshop is scheduled for June 24 and will discuss improvements to Stephen Harris Park and the playground at St. Andrews Park. Both will be held at the CSD's Pavilion Meeting Room (1021 Harvard Way) from 7-8:30pm. For more information, visit the Planning Department's website or contact dhillyer@edhcsd.org.
