Soft blackcurrant, blueberry fruit on this unoaked Malbec. Great balance of fruit and crispness (acidity). Pairs well with roast chicken or grilled fish (trout to be specific).

Say Good-Bye to Summertime!
We know it's hard, and this first week back can be a bit of shock to the system. So to help you ease into it, we're focusing on 'transitional wines' - wines that bridge the gap between the crisp, light wines of summer and the big, bold wines of winter.
Our 3-pack is 'transitional'. We'll be tasting transitional wines on Friday and Saturday between 5 and 7.30pm. We'll be transitioning the beach balls out of the window (stop by this weekend if you want one.)

This Week's 3 Pack: Transitional Wines
This week, we're featuring a trio of wines that will help you ease into the Fall. 1 white perfect for an unexpected hot spell. 2 reds that swing both ways (hot weather, cold weather - what did you think we were talking about?)
Ameztoi Gertariako Txakolina 2007 (Txacoli, Spain): Txacoli is both the region and the style - bone dry, with notes of citrus peel, Granny Smith apples, minerals, a bit of nuttiness and a hint of effervescence to keep things lively. Fantastic with shellfish and salty snacks. Regular price: $19.99
Domaine de la Noiraire Bourgueil 2006 (Loire, France): Cabernet Franc, often blended with Cab Sauv and Merlot, shines on its own in the Loire Valley. Medium-bodied and aromatic, with red fruits and the hint of fresh earthiness that's unique to this grape. Regular price: $14.99
Nell Cabernet Sauvignon / Shiraz 2004 (Yarra Valley, Australia): Not all Aussie wine is big and brassy - this one is proof. It's from one of the country's cooler regions. Full-bodied, yet vibrant and fresh, with a bit of eucalyptus on the finish. Regular price $11.99
