USHLI Conducts Workshop at LULAC National Convention on
the Latino Vote |

Dr. Juan Andrade,
USHLI President, was a panelist on the Latino Vote at the 79th LULAC
national convention. His PowerPoint presentation provided a historical context
for analyzing the growth of the Latino population and the Latino vote, how
Latinos vote in presidential and non-presidential elections, the impact of
immigration on Latino political behavior, social group voting patterns and
trends, and a survey of today's political landscape.

Roberto Larios
Named 21st Century Leaders Cycle
II Intern of the Month
|
Our 21st
Century Leaders Intern of the Month for Cycle II is Roberto Larios. He
is a third year student at University of Notre Dame, where he is
majoring in English and Film. A true leader in this group of USHLI
interns, Roberto has registered 378 new voters since Cycle II started
on June 9th.
Students in our 21st Century Leaders Internship program have registered 50,099 new voters to date.
