2012 LCS Sales Festival

In 2011, LCS introduced a new marketing and sales initiative: The Power of Five. Following the mantra what five more can do for you, this program puts focus on improving occupancy and thus, increasing both your success and the success of your community. The 2012 LCS Sales Festival will carry this message through 2012.
Join us for this special time of learning and sharing at the 2012 LCS Sales Festival. We will provide inspiring stories of success, share new techniques for achieving those accomplishments and recognize those who have contributed to their community's victories. Educational sessions will center around the F.I.V.E.S (Focus, Investment, Velocity, Energy, Skills) by providing tips and sharing examples of successful initiatives centered around The Power of Five used by LCS communities.

The marketing team at Galloway Ridge at Fearrington, located in Pittsboro, NC is deserving of a Top Performer award for December. The team consists of: Director of Marketing and Sales, Leslie Dyess (leslie@gallowayridge.com); Sales Counselors Caroline Werner (cwerner@gallowayridge.com) and Susie Pela (spela@gallowayridge.com); Sales and Marketing Assistant, Gail Jacks (gail@gallowayridge.com); and Move-In Coordinator, Ashley Craver (ashley@gallowayridge.com). Leslie attributes their success to several things - it really began in August, where they started to focus closely on their year-end goal by posting it on the wall surrounded by a string of cow lights. Each time someone got a sale the lights came on. Executive Director, Heather Rusnak (hrusnak@gallowayridge.com) also makes a special trip to the marketing office ringing a cow bell to congratulate each person for their sale. Top ten meetings were held weekly where the team helped to overcome objections and create solutions moving them through the sales process. Congratulations! Stand up and take a bow for your success!
Dallas Retirement Village in Dallas, OR is back on very familiar ground - 100% sold in the apartments and townhomes. Congratulations to Director of Sales and Marketing, Chad Riddle (criddle@drvhome.com); Director of Admissions and Marketing, Shellie Friesen-Berry(sfriesen-berry@drvhome.com); and Executive Director, David Parrett (dparrett@drvhome.com) for this year-end accomplishment. It is an accomplishment that is never taken for granted! Congratulations!
The United Methodist Village in Godfrey, IL has been on a roll since July of this year, pushing to finish the year strong in both Independent and Assisted Living. Well, they did just that! This amazing team comprised of Director of Marketing, Carrie Dos Santos (cdossantos@umvgodfrey.org) and Residency Counselor, Georgia Best (gbest@umvgodfrey.org) achieved 9 sales and 11 closings in December! What's even more exciting is that Carrie and Georgia increased their overall community occupancy percentage from 88% to 95% during the year, while blowing their sales goal out of the water...instead of reaching their goal of 44 sales; they obtained 31 more, for a total of 75 sales! Congratulations to this spectacular team and their amazing accomplishments in 2011! |

Focus - We are focusing on a new direction for the event program. Smaller events allowing for more personal contact with the customers.
With the holidays of December making it doubly difficult to connect with prospects, Friendship Village Dublin in Dublin, OH came up with "DOUBLE 5 at 5!" They made at least 10 calls each between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. and BEAT their phone out goal!
The marketing team at Plantation Village in Wilmington, NC is using the Power of Five to focus on apartment inventory, especially making sure they are 5 move-in ready apartments. To help generate sales, we have discounted our apartment homes back to 2006 pricing for a limited time. An open house event is scheduled to promote and showcase the newly renovated and specially priced apartments.

Other Good News
2011 was a rebuilding year for Harrogate in Lakewood, NJ. At the beginning of the year, Marketing and Sales Director, Kevin Fletcher (kfletcher@hgate.org) was new to the community, but he was already providing the leadership and sales management that would lead to a great year in sales and marketing. Anchored by veteran Life Care Consultant and top sales producer, Valerie Jacoby (jacoby@hgate.org) and joined by two new Life Care Consultants, Lizzie Dutka (EDutka@hgate.org) and Betty Zivelonghi (Bzivelonghi@hgate.org), Harrogate's team completely revitalized the sales and marketing efforts in impressive fashion. They ended 2011 with an amazing 7 closings in December!! Congratulations Kevin, Val, Lizzie and Betty (and the entire Harrogate team) on a great year.

Longhorn Village in Austin, TX has almost done the impossible. They have exceeded their year-end budgeted sales (56) and occupancy (172) goals. The team has been pushing hard all year to make their budget each quarter and their work has paid off - not only each quarter, but also year-end. Their efforts have brought them to one above the budgeted occupancy (173) and five above the budgeted sales (51) goals. This team achieved this by working their leads, and now, they are sailing into the new year smiling and ahead. Towne Club at Peachtree City in Peachtree City, GA started 2011 at 5 sales behind budget. They did not let this discourage them and each month they were on budget. At the end of the year, they made up those 5 sales and hit their budgeted numbers. This team has kept the Power of Five front and center with each sales meeting and as a visual reminder to themselves each day. This team is commended for not only meeting budgeted occupancy but coming from behind with that magical number, 5. This community is in a highly competitive area and is in a price war on incentives that has made the travel to the final number a hard trek.
