Minister Musings
Summer is nearly here! One way we celebrate it at Unity Church is with our June Jubilee, an informal outdoor worship service followed by a picnic and fun. The past three years June Jubilee has been rained out, but as of this writing (knock on wood) it looks like we'll be outdoors this year! In the past we have had this event at the estate of Mrs. Elizabeth Ames but this year we will be at Queset Garden, behind the Ames Free Library. The Brass will play for our service, which begins at the usual time of 10:30 am. Our service will include a Flower Communion so bring flowers to create a communal bouquet. During the Flower Communion, each person chooses a different flower to bring home.
We have arranged to have access to the library's bathrooms so we can continue with the picnic and games afterwards. Please bring lawn chairs, a meal for yourselves, and a dessert to share. Any lawn games you might enjoy? Bring those, too. See you soon! Tess Minister's Summer Schedule Services This Month Adult Circle of Trust |
June Jubilee and Flower Communion Details for this Sunday!
Mark your calendar. Set your reminder. Pick your Flower. Sunday June 10, 2012, our 10:30 am Sunday Service will be held outside at Queset Garden, behind the Ames Free Library, for our annual June Jubilee and Flower Communion!
The United Brass accompanies this service, during which our flowers are made into one bouquet. Each person then takes a flower home at the end of the service. Flowers may come from your garden or purchased from a floral shop.
After the service we can stay on the grounds until 2 pm. Everyone is encouraged to bring folding chairs or blankets, their own lunch to eat, a dessert to share, and yard games to play.
Queset Garden is behind the library at 53 Main Street, North Easton, MA 02356. Entering from Main St, onto the main driveway, bear left at the fork in the road and park in the designated spots, if that fills up park back on Main St.
If it rains that day, the service will be held at Unity Church with United Brass playing inside. Even if it does rain, everyone is encouraged to bring their own lunch to eat, a dessert to share, and yard games to play.

Our Summer Services
This summer Unity Church has something new! We have seven Sundays without Rev. Tess, and we have seven principles. This was too perfect a match to pass up, so during this summer let's celebrate our Seven Principles.
The Worship Committee is so excited to try this more intimate, slightly shorter, hopefully cooler, Sunday Worship with you! This is a great way to become more familiar with the principles if you are new to our Faith, or to return to the roots if you've been here a while.
How will it work? Click here to read more...
Want to Ride Your Bike to Church?
