Keren Or is an innovative Center
in Jerusalem, with an active presence in the U.S., dedicated to the education
and care of multi-disabled blind children and young adults. For over 30 years, Keren Or has provided education
and rehabilitative therapies to multi-disabled blind children at our
state-of-the-art campus in Ramot, Jerusalem, while maintaining an active base
of supporters in the United States.
Keren Or (Hebrew for ray of
light) is the only center of its kind in the world under Jewish auspices
devoted exclusively to the care and rehabilitation of children with visual
impairment who are also physically and/or mentally disabled. Keren Or students range in age from infancy
to young adulthood. Our state-of-the-art facilities, dedicated staff, and
individualized therapy programs allow each of our students to reach his or her
maximum potential.
Volunteer opportunities include
creating tactile books for the children at Keren Or, raising money for Keren Or
for a birthday, Bar/Bat Mitzvah or other occasion, and visiting the Center in
Jerusalem. For more information, visit www.keren-or.org.
