 Agencies Release Guidance on 90-Day Waiting Period and Determining Full-Time Employees The Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services and the Treasury have released temporary guidance regarding the 90-day waiting period limitation that starts for plan years beginning on or after January 1, 2014, as required under the PPACA. This guidance will remain in effect at least through the end of 2014.
The guidance sets forth a number of examples to demonstrate how the 90-day limitation will apply to plans, including eligibility conditions and determination of full-time status. Read more.
