According to a recent study, one in four people indicate that it takes more than 30 days to get an appointment with their physician. Many of these cases result in an unnecessary visit to the emergency room, costing just under $14 billion annually. In addition, some estimate that 70% of all doctor's office visits are unnecessary, and 66% of all ER visits are non-emergencies. sbcservicesCypress Benefit Administrators to Offer Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) Services 
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) Summary of Benefits and Coverage provision included final regulations for the SBC creation and delivery, Uniform Glossary requirements, and the 60-day advance notice of material modifications. We are all aware of the SBC & Uniform Glossary requirements but there is confusion about the SBC delivery requirement in conjunction with the new (PPACA) rules regarding the timeframe for issuing notice of a material modification/plan change. To aid in compliance with the new regulations, Cypress has announced that it will be providing SBC creation and delivery services to its existing clients, as well as any interested employer who is not currently a Cypress client.
