Mama @ Twilight Sista Thea Bowman Theater
Oakland, CA
"What You Won't Do For Love"
Simply referring to Mama @ Twilight as a "play" would minimize the quality of the writing, undermine the significance of the content, and downplay the performance of the actors. Mama @ Twilight is insightful and emotional, but above all it is real and explores how a family deals with love, trust, infidelity, compassion and communication.
Mama @ Twilight is an outdoor theatrical stage performance written by Ayodele Nzinga, MFA, and stars two of Oakland's community activist Hunia Bradley and Adimu Madyun. We strongly encourage you to support this production, the message is one we all should hear.
The show dates are September 25-27, October 2-4 and October 9-11. Showtimes: Fri/Sat 8pm, Sun 2pm. Tickets $10, $15 and $20. For more information, please contact Ayodele Nzinga at wordslanger@gmail.com, 510-208-5651 or www.myspace.com/yardtheater |

Youth Education Conference Middle School Students & Parents
Oakland, CA
"College Preparation & Financial Literacy"
Phase I of our effort has begun. We are contacting local administrators, faculty and staff to secure their support in assisting us in spreading the word about this excellent program. The Youth Education Conference (YEC) is a FREE one day program targeted at middle school aged students and their parents. The objective is to encourage participants to plan for college long before the application process. Academic performance, scholarships and financial preparations are concepts that are better addressed before the need arises.
The National Association of Black Accountants Inc., (NABA), San Francisco Bay Area Chapter has developed a phenomenal event and we want to ensure maximum participation. The YEC will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Oakland City Hall.
