Great Glasswerk:
Acid Etched Shower Doors & Custom Mirrors
for PH Towers at Westgate, Las Vegas, NV
When Planet Hollywood partnered with Westgate Resorts to open the PH Towers at Westgate Resort in Las Vegas, NV, they turned to Davis Glass to achieve a mammoth project: the completion of approximately 1,250 rooms full of custom mirrors, sidelites, and shower doors. [View the full photo album]
Davis Glass called on Glasswerks to help get the job done, and the result?...This Great Las Vegas Glasswerk:
Unique Challenges: A project of this size required a large volume and variety of mirror and glass produced both domestically and internationally. Communication was key for a project that necessitated a combination of products from China coupled with Glasswerks' domestic glass production and fabrication.
Product Fabrication & Specs: Glasswerks supplied Custom Etched Doors, Sidelites, and Mirrors
Shower Door/Water Closets: 1,246 Shower/Water Closet
Enclosures with matching sidelites
Custom Mirrors: 2112 Custom Wall and Jacuzzi Mirrors:
Rooms: Approx. 1,250 Rooms
 
Each mirror and shower door were fabricated to fit very specific parameters; this included precise customization of hinges and aluminum extrusions, accurate color matching to Westgate Resort and Planet Hollywood palettes and themes, acid etching of the doors--completed overseas--and expert sidelite fabrication done domestically by Glasswerks.
Thorough Inspection & Attention to Detail Saved the Day: While overseeing the dynamics of this project Dan Davis (Owner, Davis Glass) and Leonard Tafoya (Outside Sales, Glasswerks) flew to China to inspect the fabrication process and averted a fabrication error that would have delayed the project schedule. Thanks to the active collaboration between Davis Glass and the staff at Glasswerks, this project was completed in 18 months, on schedule with zero punch list defects.
