GLE's Tampa Headquarters participated in Paint Your Heart Out Tampa on Saturday, April 17th for the second year. The program helps beautify the City by painting the homes of low-income senior citizens. This year GLE was assigned to 90-year-old Minnie Reed's home. The event was a lot of fun and very rewarding.

GLE's Jacksonville office participated in HabiJax (Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville), partaking in renovations to an historic home to sell in the open market, with the proceeds going toward the HabiJax mission. The office was asked to perform an interior demolition of plaster walls and ceilings to the studs. Due to the presence of lead-based paint, they were required to wear tyvek suits and respirators. In 1988, nine affordable housing visionaries came together to incorporate Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville. Today, HabiJax is the most effective Habitat for Humanity affiliate in America and has helped over 1,650 families realize their dream of homeownership.
