Have you, or someone you know, recently moved to Colorado or relocated to a "new" home in the Boulder valley? Do you love your new location but aren't perfectly happy with certain aspects of your new home and think it has room, or rooms, for improvement?

These informative, interactive seminars will help you focus on which features of your home work for you the way they are, and which features could be improved to make your home the warm, inviting, and efficient space you want it to be.  You'll receive a variety of tips and tools, including answers to some of the most commonly asked questions:

  • Which improvements will yield the highest ROI?
  • Are there new products that would improve my quality of life?
  • Are there inexpensive changes I can make to save energy/money?

Each session is only $5 and includes food, refreshments, and useful handouts. E-mail us or call 303-444-0033 to register today as seats are limited. If you have a new neighbor, let them know, too!

See outdated surroundings transformed into eye-pleasing ones as spaces are enlarged, old windows are replaced with energy-saving ones, basements are turned into game rooms or entertaining rooms, unused spaces are turned into functional rooms, and disorganized, cluttered spaces become organized sanctuaries with custom built-in cabinets and modern finishes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Featured FAQs

As we mentioned in the last newsletter, we frequently get questions from clients, and Larry's answers are now posted in the FAQ section of the website as a resource of information. Here are this month's featured FAQs:
  •  Q: "I asked an architect to adapt the design of another house in our neighborhood for our project and he declined, citing copyright infringement issues. Is the architect's response reasonable, or does he just want to charge more for a total design? How do you find out if a certain design is copyrighted?" Click here to read the answer.
  • Q: "We're about to begin architectural design for a new living room addition on our home. Are there any pitfalls we should watch out for?" Click here to read the answer.
  • Q: "Can you please explain the roles of the architect, general contractor, and subcontractor in the construction process?" Click here to read the answer.
  • Q: "We have a large crawl-space under part of our house, and a basement under the rest. Is it possible to dig out the crawl space to enlarge the basement?" Click here to read the answer.

Supported Charity- MDA Lock-Up
Parrish Supports Muscular Dystrophy Association MDA Boulder, CO

The law caught up with us and on May 18 we went behind bars "for GOOD"; a good cause that is!

We served time for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) and thanks to YOUR HELP we were bailed out of MDA Jail! Your donation will help over 1,500 families in Colorado who are served by the MDA and will make a difference in the lives of many. The Boulder Lock-Up raised over $60,000!

Busting out of jail was great, but we are still currently serving a 30 day probationary period, and our probation officer is accepting further donations towards our bail until June 18.

Thanks again for your help! Together we CAN make a difference.
Towards a cure,
Larry and Annette

Kitchens are Cooking Tour Boulder Shofukai tea ceremony

The Kitchens are Cooking Tour on May 1-2 was a success with 250+ attendees. Hapa's head chef demonstrated sushi inside, and Shofukai from the Denver Botanic Gardens taught traditional Japanese tea ceremony classes outside.

All proceeds went to benefit the I Have a Dream Foundation of Boulder.

Closet remodel Boulder

Who wouldn't want to have a beautiful closet like the one  pictured here- large, bright, and ultra organized?  Even the most beautiful closet should be extremely efficient and functional or it will soon become a large, bright, disorganized mess.

As we're heading into summer, now is the perfect time to take a critical look at what works, what doesn't work, and to figure out where to store all those fall and winter clothes you won't be needing for awhile!

You can transform your crowded, disorganized closet into a dream closet just by following these simple guidelines for organization, and implementing a few key changes....

Colorado's climate is just about perfect isn't it? And it doesn't get any better than Springtime in the Rockies. The Robins are back, flowers are poking their heads out, and the Colorado Rockies are playing ball again. Life is sweet. The sun feels so good, it's easy to forget we will soon be complaining about the heat!

Summers are so pleasant here, in fact, that most homes don't have air conditioning-at least the older ones. But then most cars didn't have air conditioning in the 1950's either. Would you order a new car today without it?

If you find yourself "Sweatin' To The Oldies" this summer while just sitting and listening to the radio, here are some ideas for chilling out at home...
