If you enjoyed the images of the stunning fused glass tile kitchen backsplash by Adagio Art Glass included in our
last e-newsletter, you won't want to miss our upcoming home tour, "Kitchens Are Cooking", sponsored by Studio3 and the
"I Have a Dream®" Foundation of Boulder County.

That same kitchen, featured above, as well as a unique backyard dining pavilion by Parrish Construction (below) is one of ten homes included in this mouth-watering tour. In this leg of the tour guests will enjoy a cooking demonstration, sampling sushi in the kitchen, as well as the opportunity to sip tea in the outside dining pavilion, which was inspired by traditional Japanese architecture.

All proceeds from the sales of the tickets for the "Kitchens are Cooking" Home Tour will go to the "I Have a Dream®" Foundation of Boulder's Healthy Minds = Healthy Bodies program.

Come learn about how Parrish Construction incorporated Japanese architectural design and culture into this project, and help us support this worthy cause!

Tickets are one for $18/ two for $35 and are available for purchase at Studio3, "I Have a Dream®" Foundation of Boulder County (303 444 3636), at any King Soopers, or through Tickets West  (1 866 464 2626).

Guests of the tour will enjoy sipping tea in the backyard dining pavilion.

The law caught up with Larry and Annette Parrish and on May 18 they're going behind bars "for GOOD"; a good cause that is! They're serving time for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) and need YOUR help in advance to bail them out of MDA Jail. Best of all, your donation will help over 1,500 families in Colorado who are served by the MDA. Your contribution can make a difference!
  • $30 sponsors a flu shot
  • $74 sponsors one minute of ground-breaking research
  • $100 funds a support group session for MDA families
  • $300 covers the professional fees related to an incidental diagnostic workup at an MDA clinic
  • $500 supports the maintenance or repair of a client wheelchair or leg braces
  • $800 sends one child to summer camp for an entire week
They go behind bars soon and don't want to spend all day in the slammer! They each need to raise $1,500 bail ($3,000 total) before May 18.
It's secure, fast, tax-deductible and a great opportunity to help local programs and services funded by MDA. Thanks so much for your help. Together we CAN make a difference.

Towards a cure,

Larry & Annette

Home Energy Audits
(Part Two)

By Annette Parrish

In the last blog, included in our March Newsletter, Larry shared that we had a blower door test performed on our own residence.  Xcel is offering rebates on specific energy upgrades. However, in order to receive any of the rebates it is necessary to implement three mandatory improvements and two optional improvements...
