Sunrise Serengetti
Michael Brown and Araceli Segarra were in Tanzania for July to help Brad and Teresa McLain make a film called Inspire Me Africa. The experience and film are designed to inspire high school science teachers through the experience of climbing Mt Kilimanjaro and going on safari in the Serengeti.

Himalayan Cataract Project in Rwanda.
Gorilla
Rwanda is certainly not in the Himalaya but Dr. Geoff Tabin is now extending the programs of the Himalayan Cataract Project to Africa.

In 2006 we made the award  winning film Light of the Himalaya with Dr. Tabin and Dr. Sanduk Ruit performing sight restoring cataract surgeries in Nepal.  Michael Joined Dr. Tabin, Ace Kvale and author David Relin (Three Cups of Tea) in Rwanda where Geoff is working with Dr. John Nkurikiye to create a strong eye care program for central Africa.
