Dear friends,
As summer marches forward closer to fall, Robert is keeping busy with preparations for several upcoming shows. Robert has the honor of exhibiting in two major events in September: Birds in Art at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum and Wildlife Art Revealed, a four-artist exhibition at the Virginia Museum of Natural History.
In addition to being represented by Berkley Gallery in Warrenton, Virginia, Robert is now also represented by Lovetts's Gallery in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and has three pieces on exhibit at there.
September is fast approaching and we hope that everyone enjoys the rest of their summer. We look forward to seeing you this fall at one of Robert's exhibits.

"North pond on Pea Island (White Ibis)"
Oil 12 x 22
"North Pond on Pea Island (White Ibis)" is a painting resulting from one of Robert's many trips to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Pea Island is a national wildlife refuge that sits just north of Cape Hatteras, where Robert has been going since he was a small child. Robert spent three days on Pea Island a couple of years ago and during that time he was lucky enough to wedge himself down into the marsh grass and capture roughly 100 photos of these beautiful birds wading past his hiding spot.
This painting will be part of the Viginia Museum of Natural History's Wildlife Art Revealed exhibit. The show will include a display where you can see this painting evolve from the beginning reference photos to the finished painting through progress images and descriptive paragraphs of each step. |
