Dear friends,
Spring is here with summer right on its tail. A lot has been going on with Robert and his work from his travels to several shows, releasing two new prints, and being accepted into the Artists for Conservation organization. |

Winter 2009 A recap of the start of the year
February took Robert to two major shows, first Charleston, South Carolina, for the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition and then to Tulsa, Oklahoma, for Robert's first appearance at the NatureWorks show. This year's SEWE show was a lot of fun, especially Robert's little encounter with an alligator on the beach. Please visit "Back from Charleston" to see pictures and read about the encounter. NatureWorks was an extremely exciting show to attend. All the artists, show organizers and volunteers are like one big family.
Just recently, Robert and his artwork were accepted into a great organization, Artists for Conservation. Artists for Conservation is a nonprofit, international organization dedicated to the celebration and preservation of the natural world. The foundation represents the world's leading collective of nature artists and an unparalleled pool of artistic talent focused on nature. The organization's mission is to support wildlife and habitat conservation, biodiversity, sustainability, and environmental education through art that celebrates our natural heritage. Visit Robert's AFC homepage and to learn more about Artists for Conservation.
In March, Robert participated for the second time in GalleryOne's Masterworks in Miniature show in Mentor, Ohio. The Masterworks show pulls in great talent from around the U.S. and beyond. All pieces in the show have to be miniatures no larger than 108 square inches. This year Robert sent "Mud Flat (Killdeer)" to the exhibit, which measured 4 x 6 inches.
