In collaboration with Reggio Children and Portland Children's Museum with "The Wonder of Learning - The Hundred Languages of Children" Exhibit from Reggio Emilia, Italy

Keynote speakers: Vea Vecchi, Atelierista (L), Tiziana Filippini, Pedagogista (C) and Amelia Gambetti, Insegnante (R) from Reggio Emilia, Italy presenting the municipal 0-6 educational project by sharing experiences and perspectives in process
School visits will include Opal School of the Portland Children's Museum, which operates a private preschool (ages 3-6) and a public charter elementary school (grades K-5). Opal serves as a resource for teacher-research by supporting and provoking fresh thinking about learning environments that inspire playful inquiry, creativity, imagination and the wonder of learning in children and adults.

Third Edition of The Hundred Languages of Children
|
This exciting new edition subtitled, The Reggio Emilia Experience in Transformation, is now available! Edited by Carolyn Edwards, Lella Gandini, and George Forman.
This book includes contributions from leaders from Reggio Emilia and international scholars from Europe and North America, including Loris Malaguzzi, Carlina Rinaldi, Vea Vecchi, Howard Gardner, Gunilla Dahlberg and others. It is illustrated with photographs of the teachers and children in Reggio Emilia schools as well as drawings from the children of the Reggio Emilia preschools.

Beginning with the Winter 2012 issue, Innovations in Early Education: The International Reggio Emilia Exchange will be published by the North American Reggio Emilia Alliance (NAREA)!
