ABOUT THE COMPANY AND THIS NEWSLETTERFarriers Greeting Cards was started by Gina Keesling in 1986 (in a very small way) to provide helpful promotional materials for farrier husband Rob. Along the way we became HoofPrints.com, too, adding a selection of fun horse and dog products geared toward women of a certain age. This newsletter is emailed to subscribers a few times a month, depending on how often I have something to share. Watch for special sales, interesting stories, uplifting quotes and more.

NEW CLOSEOUT #9: Sterling Silver Carrot Earrings
These are so cute - I really thought folks would snatch them up, but they didn't, even at the low price of $19.95. They're made in USA - hand cast and polished. Would you hand polish these tiny little things for $20? Me neither. We've put them on sale ($5.00 OFF) here.

CLOSEOUT #10 Color Atlas of Veterinary Anatomy This is a brand new copy of a slightly outdated edition. The new edition sells for a LOT more than this, and unless you're needing it as a required textbook for a course, this is a perfectly useful alternative. It's a coffee table size softcover, 327 pages 495 color photos, and 482 color drawings. All illustrating regional surface features photographed before dissection; it then gives you complimentary photographs of articulated skeletons. Result: you see all the palpable bony features of those regions. View topography; see beneath the surface - muscles, bones nerves and viscera that make up each region of the body and each organ system. Want to learn about anatomy but don't have the means (or the stomach) to do actual dissection? This is the book for you. It's on sale here.

CLOSEOUT #11 Atlas of Animal AnatomyThis is a 151 page paperbound book of the very accurate anatomy drawings of W. Ellenberger, first published in 1901. There are over 33 images of horses suitable for framing in this book, plus other species of animals, with an extensive section of dog images. A timeless anatomy reference and elegant decor for office or home. Image size is 9" x 12" Back in the days before UPS shipping got to be so high, we actually would CUT UP these books and sell the framed pages to veterinary clinics for elegant/vintage looking office decor. We've marked it down by $5.00 - you can see some additional example pages, plus a framed version here.

CLOSEOUT #12 Oval Shoe & Bit License PlateHand cast solid aluminum with enameled black background. Designs and border are raised machine ground finish. This is a beefy, THICK plate, not one of those thin, flimsy affairs. It's 6 1/2" x 12" x 3/8" thick. Mounting holes are 7" apart horizontally and 3 3/4" apart vertically. May not fit all brackets. If you are not sure if it will fit your vehicle, click here to download a tracing to compare to your mounting hardware. We've got it on sale here.

Viral marketing... it sounds bad, doesn't it? You can ask my husband - a frequent topic around here is that of forwarded emails - and the psychology behind them - just WHAT prompts people to decide; "I am going to send this to everyone I know!".
We receive a lot of them. Some are pretty good, and others are dumb. Dumb in a myriad of ways... Alarmist email rumors that have been around forever - that folks keep sending "just in case it's true" Pictures of someone's butt (or worse) - don't even get me started about the firecracker butt - but at least that one was timely when it showed up around July 4. Christian messages that are uplifting - until you get to the end and you're threatened "if you're not ashamed that you love Jesus, forward this - if you are, then delete." Pictures of cute puppies and kittens (awww)
I enjoy writing these newsletters - and sharing all this stuff with you all. But the fact is, it's also a way to help us stay connected with customers and sell products during the time between catalog mailings (which is only once a year) So I really, really like it when someone new stumbles upon the newsletter and is excited to "discover" our company and the products we offer.
In all my efforts to make the newsletter interesting and forward-worthy - it never occurred to me to JUST ASK you all to send it! Duh. Sometimes the obvious is elusive, I guess. So here goes - my request to ask you to forward our email newsletter to your horsey friends. All we ask is that you please be judicious and only send to folks who might be interested. Otherwise we are no better than the "firecracker butt". Click to get started. (please note - using this form does NOT subscribe anyone to our list - it is a one-time only forward)
