Greetings!

CBYRA Organizers welcome you, crew, friends and family to the 45th Annual Annapolis Race Week this Labor Day weekend.  If you haven't already, stop by the office to pick up your Skipper Bag, courtesy of Gosling's.  The bags are filled with things you need and more... from all our generous sponsors.

Forward this email to crew and friends so they know what's going on too.  Remind them to click the Join Our Mailing List! button at the bottom of the left column to add their email address and preferences.

THANK YOU
Organizers and All Volunteers
CBYRA could not manage this regatta if not for the many tireless individuals who are dedicated to the event's success. Please remember to express your appreciation to the Race Committees on the water, the volunteers at the tent parties and the organizers.

Hopefully you will not see the Protest Committee members this weekend, but should you, Ric Crabbe's team deserver your gratitude too!

Special thanks go to the Clubs that donate their resources to the four Race Committees:

Fleet 1 - Annapolis Yacht Club
Fleet 2 - Eastport Yacht Club
Fleet 3 - Naval Academy Sailing Squadron
Distance - Gibson Island Yacht Squadron

US SAILING ROADSHOW
Introducing Sailing to the Public

In order to promote sailing the US Sailing Roadshow will provide anyone with the opportunity to get out on the water in a Laser or Bic. The Roadshow features two recent past collegiate competitors, Will Ricketson (Westford, MA) and Brooke Thomson (Newport Beach, CA), who are traveling all over the country to convey the enjoyment and accessibility of sailing to everyone. Ricketson and Thomson also offer demonstrations on their one-design sailboats.

CLEAN REGATTA
Sailors for the Sea Clean Regattas ProgramSailors for the Sea
We encourage you to strive for higher environmental standards while participating in this Clean Regatta and to work to protect and restore our waters long after racing.

Sailors can do their part with Oil Spill Prevention by carrying and using at least one bilge sponge and one fueling spill pad.

During the regatta let WasteStrategies help dispose of your boat's waste correctly by bringing your trash bag to the tent party, if recycling is not readily available at your dock
