Greetings!

Registration for Annapolis Race Week is due no later than 1500 on Thursday 1 September.  Let other skippers in your fleet know time is running out to enter and there are more chances this year to win Daily and Overall awards than ever before.

Forward this email to crew and friends so they know what's going on too.  Remind them to click the Join Our Mailing List! button at the bottom of the left column to add their email address and preferences.

Get Your Shore Crew Involved Too
There are still spots open to help out before and during the regatta.  Check out the list at cbyra.org/arw for ideas on where you can lend assistance, then email Leanne at leannelstewart@yahoo.com to sign up.

All volunteers get an exclusive red hat provided by Gosling's and a one day party pass as tokens of our appreciation.

CLEAN REGATTA
Sailors for the Sea Clean Regattas ProgramSailors for the Sea
We encourage you to strive for higher environmental standards while participating in a Clean Regatta and to work to protect and restore our waters.

Sailors can do their part by choosing to use Biodegradable Products Make use of corn-based, biodegradable products during the regatta, including cups, napkins and plates.  In case that these make their way into the Bay, they will eventually break down.

Of the seven types of plastic available only three-PET (1), HDPE (2) and PS (6)-are considered "easy" to recycle. The vast majority of municipal recycling centers don't even accept the other types which include such heavily used plastics as wrapping films, dry cleaning bags, sandwich bags, grocery bags and Tupperware.

Let WasteStrategies help dispose of your boat's waste correctly by bringing your trash bag to the tent party if recycling is not readily available at your dock
