Next Generation Colleges Union Catalogue - Collect Debuts in February

Since we first wrote about Collect - College Libraries Central, the Colleges Union Catalogue digital repository, in the OCLS Fall newsletter the User Interface Working Group and the Colleges Union Catalogue and Libraries Digital Repository Steering Group (CUCLDRSG) have been hard at work finalizing the look, feel and navigation for Collect. As the next generation of the Colleges Union Catalogue, we are pleased to report that Collect will make its public debut at the OCLS Breakfast at the Ontario Library Association Conference (OLA) on Friday January 31. eBook Project Update

In November the Colleges eBook Consortium project entered the fourth and final phase of its Implementation Analysis (IAP) work. The emphasis in this phase is on summarizing the results of the implementation analysis, defining a consortium structure and developing the final business case. February 10th and 24th RDA Training Webinar Series with Trina Grover funded by OCLS

This February OCLS, in connection with the BSWG and the Joint RDA Subcommittee, is pleased to host two new RDA training webinars for college library staff. Taught by Trina Grover and designed to support the minimum standard for upload into the Colleges Union Catalogue, the training will pick up where Trina left off last June. The first webinar will focus on Works and Expressions followed by Relationships. Hands on work and examples describing different formats will be used with reference to the newly revised minimum standard for the Colleges Union Catalogue. Introducing Request Tracker 2.0 By Wendy Traas & Tara Knott
Request Tracker, or RT, is a customer request tracking and resolution management system that OCLS uses to efficiently manage and respond to library service requests made to the OCLS helpdesk.
