Course Sections Ready for Summer & Fall 2013 Early Registration?
|
Please review each of the following for your course sections as early registration begins on April 22:
- Course Schedule Audits on SharePoint (formerly known as the Schedule Data Integrity Reports): Use this tool when reviewing section setup as it includes valuable information about the items listed below and more. Please review the January Institutional Effectiveness Newsletter for additional information about the recently updated SharePoint site and report access.
- Summer Part-of-Term (POT): Please do not use POT 1 in summer; the standard POT(s) in summer are 5, 6, 7 and 8.
- Linking: Submit all linking requests by Wednesday, April 3, via email to Lori Seavers.
- Cross-lists: Submit cross-list requests via the online cross-list request form by Wednesday, April 3.
- Variable Credits: All variable credit sections must have billing and course credits specified.
- Labs: Most labs should be setup as ungradable and zero credits.
Please review each of the following and contact Lori Seavers if you have questions. |

Graduate Commencement Coordinator Resources and Deadlines
|
Graduate Commencement Coordinators, please remember the following deadline:
April 2 - Banner entry deadline. You must enter all information in SHADEGR. If you have doctoral candidates, you must also enter dissertation titles and advisor names in Banner on SHAQPNO and SGAADVR. This is vital for the graduate commencement program.
Commencement Reports:
Please review the reports on the OIE SharePoint site under the "Commencement" tab. You may view the bookstore report which lists students who are coded as PA by College and Program.
You should also view the Commencement Program Proofing report. This report highlights missing information. This a great tool to help you meet the April 2 Banner data-entry deadline and ensure that all of the information is in Banner before we pull the first draft of the graduate commencement program.

All packets to be processed must have a completed FIF (either completed with the form and pencil or completed electronically). If you have any questions, please contact Julie Seykora (jmseykora@stthomas.edu) or by phone 2-6638.

GTS Information | |
|
Graduate Program Coordinators: The first Spring 2013 GTS report should now be available on the OIE SharePoint site under the "Commencement" tab.
Please review your program's section of the GTS report to ensure that the data matches your own understanding of which students are ready to graduate. If someone you expected to be at Pending (PE) status is not, or conversely if someone is at PE status and should not be, please review that student's degree evaluation to determine the issue and take any necessary action.
Also note that an incomplete grade (I, IP, NR) anywhere in the student's academic history will also prevent a student from passing GTS. If you need assistance with a student's degree evaluation, please contact Terri Topness. |
