My Religion
As I was pondering what to write about this issue, and coming up blank, I began to imagine I must be like a minister trying to come up with a Sunday sermon. Sometimes it feels like I am preaching the gospel, or trying to save all of you from sinning. Though those thoughts are far from my mind when I sit down to write I know my words must come across as religious fervor at times.
Then I thought about it more and realized I AM touting my "religion" when I post oftentimes, because I speak from my heart on core issue. I do not attend a church, and despite my upbringing I cannot claim that I am Jewish in the practicing sense, but I do have a strong spiritual core and it leaks out here and there on this blog. In essence my beliefs revolve around the concept that God is not a separate entity from us, but that we are all Gods.
My theory is if God is outside of us, then we expect him (or her) to do something for us: help us. But if we are each our own God then we each have that power. We are in charge and can manifest, despite great obstacles sometimes, incredible things.
I also believe that my body is my temple. This and the natural world are my worship sites: preferably together. When I am on a bike, or hiking on a rural trail I am in church. The feeling of my body working while I am surrounded by the beauty of our gorgeous world awakens a gratefulness and spiritual bliss that I cannot find any other way.

A YEAR WITHOUT ALCOHOL
I know it is a stretch for many of us to consider such a radical act, living in wine country and often working in the industry, but there are great reasons to cut back, if not to completely let it go.

 LIFE COACHING/WEIGHT COUNSELING
If you are struggling in your life, whether it is weight/ health related or any other issue, consider seeking help. Life coaching does not focus on the past, like therapy. It helps you see the ways you are stuck and how to move forward. As a coach I am trained to help you uncover and manifest what you really want in your life.
Life Coaching can be done in person or on the phone.
Weight Counseling is different. This is a short-term (4-6 sessions) series where I show you the secrets of healthy eating, weight-loss, etc. We cover your eating patterns, discuss challenging foods and behaviors, and then we shop together, cook together, eat out together, and whatever else you need to live a healthier life.
Weight Counseling is best done in person but I have had many successful phone clients as well, including people in other countries!
Of course these can be combined. Contact me for a free half hour sample session!
