Ch...Ch..Ch..Changes
Hello Readers,
During this 2 week absence, while packing and unpacking boxes, moving furniture and hanging pictures, I have been absorbed with the idea of change. Since my life seems to be in a constant state of change these days it's a good thing I enjoy it. Otherwise I would feel a bit put out that I had to move yet again, or that I am finding myself starting yet another business. But it seems to feed my need for the inconstant, I guess, as I find myself energized by it.
However, it has made me think about those of us for whom change is a very scary word. I can understand how this can be for many people. If change is in the wind it might mean discomfort, awkwardness, and potentially down right misery. Obviously changes like divorce, illness or death of a loved one are the furthest end of the spectrum, but even such things as moving, changing jobs or a kid going off to college can unrattle the best of us.
Coming into my 60s this year at least gives me a fair amount of perspective and history to base things on, and I get not only how traumatic all of this can be, but also how incredibly important and necessary change is for all of us. As much as we would prefer to hide in a hole oftentimes, and maintain as much status quo as possible, the more we do that I think the more we stifle anything which will stimulate that piece of us which needs to grow.

I have decided to begin producing this newsletter once a month instead of bi-monthly. I am so busy with the festival and the new bike business that I feel I cannot produce a quality newsletter so frequently. I hope you all will understand. I figure we are all so busy this will give you just one less thing to read in your inbox. So look for the next newsletter to come mid-June.
