Flying High at Guild's Retreat
Ever wonder what it would be like to fly?
Do you ever watch geese fly overhead? We can gain wisdom from these feathered friends.
So began Sallie Moody's presentation on leadership at the Symphony Guild annual retreat, titled Onward and Upward - The Guild Takes Flight, held on Aug 28 at the Foundation for the Carolinas, a beautiful venue with an art and glass collection throughout the building.

Festival of Trees/ Breakfast at Nordstrom
Our holiday fundraiser plays a new note
this year with the addition of a Mother/Daughter Fashion Show and Holiday Breakfast co-sponsored at Nordstrom.
This special event, to be held in Nordstrom's children's department and featuring styles for women and children, will kick off the public display of trees on Nov 16 in the luxury wing of SouthPark Mall.
Volunteer and committee positions are available for both the Trees and Fashion Show - tree chaperones, volunteers at South Park, check-in coordinators
just to name a few!

CSYO Summer Camp Shines!
The Beat Goes On - Camp 2013 Seventy-four eager young musicians, the CSYO manager, the conductor, eight sectional coaches, four counselors, and two Guild chaperones participated in the 41st CSYO Residential Summer Camp at Converse College in Spartanburg, SC, from Jul 31 to Aug 4. This annual camp is held during the first week of August when the CSYO begins preparing for its upcoming season.
